We understand that is difficult for a family member to leave or miss work, but to protect other children,

you may not bring a sick child to the center. The center has the right to refuse a child who appears sick.

At Beyond Spectrum Academy we emphasizes the necessity to support young children’s social,

emotional, and behavioral development helping them to develop a positive understanding of

settled and take full advantage of the learning and development opportunities available to them

at the center.

SEE POLICY

Child Abuse & Neglet

The Florida Legislature passed new laws in the 2014 Session to protect the safety and welfare of children after a series of articles in the Miami Herald found that the deaths of 479 children were the result of abuse and/or neglect.

All Beyond Spectrum Academy employees are required by law to report any suspected case of child abuse, abandonment or neglect,

as well as alleged misconduct by instructional personnel or school administrators which affects the health, safety, or welfare of a student.
