The Importance of Early Childhood Social-emotional Education
Why is early childhood social-emotional education so important?
Social and emotional Learning (SEL) helps children by promoting their health and emotional well-being and contributing to the prevention of violence, truancy, bulling, and substance abuse. In addition, SEL is associated with significant gains on academic achievements tests.
Although research has established a positive relationship between young children's social emotional skills and success in school, large numbers of young children are beginning their school experiences without the emotional, social, and behavioral skills necessary for academic success.
Daycare alone can’t do what a high-quality program like SELF LEARNING CENTER does, which is to partner with families to prepare our children with the social emotional and academic skills they need to thrive, while become tolerant, compassionate, and caring adults.
Let us become part of your family by helping you with your child's social-emotional growth and education!
