Our Approach
SELF LEARNING CENTER is presenting itself as an alternative to traditional childcare and preschools. We provide a learning environment aimed at promoting healthy social and emotional protective factors in young children. Our educational curriculum focuses on problem-solving, foundational literacy, math skills, and social and emotional learning to make the younger kids ready for kindergarten.
Additionally, the program includes teaching strategies on how to build healthy relationships in a supportive learning environment, focusing on peer relationship processes that contribute to academic success for school-age students and the prevention of violence, truancy, bullying, and substance abuse in the future.

OUR FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
LUCIA BARBEYTO, M.S., M.A., BCBA
SELF LEARNING CENTER is led by its owner, Lucia Barbeyto. Lucia handles day-to-day operations of the facility, including fiscal responsibility and financial oversight. She works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary support team providing vision leadership and recommendations in support of the values, mission and culture of the organization.

Enrollment at BEYOND SPECTRUM ACADEMY is open to children from 6 weeks to age 12. Enrollment shall be granted without regard to a child’s race, color, creed, religion, national origin, gender, or disability; and without regard to a parent or guardian’s race, color, creed, religion, age, national origin, gender, pregnancy or disability.
